What is this capture problem
This has only just started happening, does anyone know what it might be?
When the tape is cueing ready to capture (batch or clip) the hard drives start flashing as though they are working.
This continues and when the tape rolls down to the in point and capture should start I get a frame or two of motion and then freeze.
The tape keeps rolling, the disc keeps working and working.
This locks up final cut and escape doesn’t always exit the capture and I have to force quit FCP numerous times to get the hard drive to stop working.
I have tried capture to other discs – same problem
Capturing from composite and SDI to DV codec and others
I have manged to capture native DV without issue, which points to the capture card.
I updated the latest drivers
Is there any experience of this problem out there?G4 1GHz singl1.75 GB RAM
