What is the fastest write CF cards?
Hey all,
I’ve been shooting HD DLSR video for about 6 months and was wondering what the fastest writing CF cards are. What brand and speeds are best for video?
As it stands now, I have a couple of promatster 16 GB cards. Every time I zoom or pan and a lot of time just when I start recording I get the write speed bars appearing on the display and then it crashes the record. I know that the promaster brand is junk but before I buy new cards I’d love some advice on which cards have the fastest write times for HD recording on the 7D.

Transcend seems to be the card of choice. They are also the lest expensive of the recommended cards. I use Toshiba Class 4 and have never had a problem even though they recommend class 6, my next cards will be Transcend.
I wonder if you have an issue with your camera. While compressing a image with camera in motion would take more processing power it should not effect the write speed.
