  • What is the difference between Media Composer and NewCutter?

The title says it all. I can’t seem to find any information about this, and very little on NewsCutter itself. So what are the differences, and are they any tutorials videos or other docs specifically geared towards NewsCutter?

    Thanks.

There are some basic differences in UI nomenclature as well interaction. For example, getting into trim mode is different. I can’t remember now but it was and may still be. Biggest difference is how it connects to thee different broadcast tools as part of an collaborative workflow and the integration thereof.

Also: it is EOL. Newscutter is now merely an option to Media Composer software. Not sure what the Newscutter option entails, and I think most Newscutter functionality has been moved into MC over the past few years.
