What is the best way to export for BluRay and DVD
I’m new to Avid and at present I’m exporting projects as Quicktime – “high” quality, not single pass, and then importing this into DVD Architect to make DVD or BluRay discs. Is this a good way to proceed or is there a better approach which will optimise picture quality?

Rule of thumb: do not use the Avid to convert upon export, but rathe do a Same As Source export from Avid. This simply keeps codec and resolution as they are, just rewrapping your stuff into a QT container.
Then you must find out which luma level range your BD or DVD encoding application is expecting.
