  • What is “Temporal Phase” and “Spatial Phase”?

When creating a shape layer and applying “Wiggle Paths” from the “Add:”-menu, there are these two options called “Temporal Phase” and “Spatial Phase”. I’ve never used them since Wiggle Paths animates automatically, however, I’m very curious what these two mean/do. Obviously “temporal” = tempo or speed, and “spatial” = the space in X and/or Y and/or Z.
But what’s the difference between “Temporal Phase” and “Spatial Phase”; they both seem to do exactly the same thing when playing around with their controls which I find weird since they mean different things and therefore should affect the shape layer in different ways?
