What is going on with this ugly defect?
I have been using illustrator on a surface pro 4 for a while now, and at a certain point, it started showing this ugly jagged defect around the edges of curved vector shapes. I’ve updated illustrator, and even uninstalled and reinstalled, and I can’t find an answer anywhere online.
Does anyone know what this is, and how I can fix it?
I would really appreciate any help.

It kind of looks like you have got a brush applied to the shape.
