December 28, 2015 at 5:30 am[Jeff David] “1. will the other two procedures work on screen shots?”
The other two procedures are also changing the Dpi to 300. Your should NOT… I repeat NOT do that! Images for Video should be kept at 72 DPI. In the second video someone needs to tell the poor guy that he is dealing with JPEG artifacts and there is a filter built into Photoshop that removes them with a single click instead of all that manual work he is doing. The first video uses an Unsharp Mask which is all you really need to bring some sharpness back to the images.
[Jeff David] “For instance, today, I selected one of the screen shots I had added to MS and MS set the project parameters to uh I think that screen shot res was 1600 by 818 – somewhere close to that. I assume this will prevent the resolution problem you described that occurs of someone renders in HD and their media is less than HD I assume?”
How do you plan to deliver this video. Will it be HD or something less than HD? If it will be less than HD then changing you project property to match your media and changing you render settings to match your project will give you the best quality. As long as people watch it at the lower quality.

January 20, 2016 at 1:18 amThanks John – I got it now – always keep images at 72 dpi. This has been a very good lesson and I learned a lot. Hopefully others will learn from this post to. I will always refer back to it in case I forget.
I learned to use the, “search tool” feature in Google where you can set it to find the pictures w the highest quality and my job project came out good – I got the job. Big improvement in my pay.
Haha they loved the video – it won the day for me and beat out the competition.
The guy had asked for a powerpoint but I went one better w the video!
I must say, I went from not knowing anything about videos to knowing a little but it was enough to win the job so the skills helped.
This project was not for the public or anything for sale, just for my own use, otherwise I would have observed copyright laws in regards to any pictures I downloaded off the internet.
I was able to get high resolution pictures for most of the pictures I used and I rendered it in HD and all of the pictures looked fine. Most of the pictures were HD or close to it.
Thanks for all the help!
