  • What is AvidMediaComposer.exe.hdmp?

    Hi,

I’m running Avid Media Composer on a PC and the C drive keeps getting clogged with files called AvidMediaComposer.exe.hdmp.

These files are about half a gb in size and I’d like to delete them – can anyone tell me what they are and if it’s safe to junk them?

    Thanks in advance

    Alex

At a guess “hdmp” might stand for hex dump,a type of trouble shooting file readable and understandable by coders. I would move the files to the trash and see if Avid is affected, then delete if not. You should be able to set the director Avid creates and stores temp files. I think it’s in “General” Settings.
