My client sent me a fcp project file, however whenever I try and open it, I get this general error 41. What is that and how do I get past it?
    Cheers,
    Creeker.

What version of FCP are you both running?

Thank you for those who responded to my plight. As it turns out, I in-fact was not using FCP version 5.1.2 rather the 5.0 version. As it also turns out – you must upgrade from V5.0 to V5.1 by sending in $100USD and your FCP install disk directly to Apple. They will in turn send you the 5.1 upgrade. Then you can download the 5.1.2 update. As I did the research, I soon discovered that no authorised MAC/APPLE dealer was able to supply my with the upgrade – this is something that comes from APPLE directly – so plan ahead, and save youselves the the $1,500 for a brand new copy of 5.1 from the retailer! (As I ultimatly had to do, given my tight time restrictions!)
    Cheers,
    Creeker.
