  • What have I done to my camera?

I feel like an idiot. I took my camera out of the bag the other night to shoot some pictures and I noticed that when I am seeing what the camera is aiming at on the LCD screen and press the shutter half way down, the image disappears and it goes to the adjustment screen. Then when I press the shutter all the way down the shutter releases like it has taken a picture but it doesn’t. If you hold the shutter release down for a second or so the shutter then fires but you have to press it again to get the shutter to release. The shutter speed is set to 1/160 so it’s not an extremely slow shutter speed issue.

I know I’ve made some change to the settings to make it do this but I swear I don’t know what it is. Can anyone suggest anything to get this reset back to normal operation?

    Thanks,

    Mike

My first guess would be it’s a combination of the AF mode being changed to Quick Mode, and mirror lock-up being enabled..

I’m a unique blend of overachiever and procrastinator. I’ll do it all – later.
