  • What happened to my second monitor?

Posted by Paul Zwicker on April 1, 2010 at 4:43 pm

What am I missing? 2nd monitor (Lacie 324) was fine until I reset my capture preferences in order to import some DV footage into FCP.

After importing DV footage, I reset the Easy setup back to XDCAM EX 1080p30-my original footage and sequence setting.

I then imported some more XDCAM EX footage at the proper settings.

Now my second monitor, viewer and canvas show a freeze of the cued frame in my sequence.

If I set the Playback Output Video to Digital Cinema Desktop Preview-Full Screen, the Two-Up editing viewer freezes along with the 2nd monitor.

I have tried turning the External Video settings to All Frames (which I think I had it before). If I turn off All Frames, my editing monitor works just fine.

    System:
    FCP v6.06
    Mac OS X v10.5.8
    MacPro 2×2.8 Quad core

Running an internal RAID with 2.8TB left plus external RAIDs.

    What am I missing here?

    Thank you.

I trashed preferences and low and behold-back in action again. The wonders of FCP.
