    Hi All,

Recently I had to wipe my HD and do a reinstall. After I installed FC Studio, my Quicktime 7.0 did not have the export to MPEG2 option. It’s QT Pro, but without that option. Can anyone tell me what happened and how I can get it back.

    Thanks in advance,

    Gene M. Patrick

MPEG2 is a separate codec which you have to buy from apple… so if you did, you probably have to reinstall it, if not you probably have to buy it, or if it comes with FCStudio then find the installer for it…

From QT 7 on, Apple’s idea is that you use Compressor for exporting to MPEG 2. There’s no MPEG 2- exporter meant to be in your Quicktime.
