what gives with Motion’s keyframing?
I’m trying to animate simple shape vertex postions in Motion3
Vertices are animating outside the area indicated by the keyframe editor. There is no other animation on this layer, so I don’t understand what’s going on.
Any ideas?

Learn to use Behaviors much much more easy than simple keyframes and far simpler to adjust. That is Motion’s key advantage over After FX.

I am really trying with the behaviors Noah, but it’s taking some getting used to. Having to use another behaviour to stop each is really weird.
I never did get to the bottom of the animating layer that had no keyframes or behaviours added but moved anyway! but having removed all the keyframes and reset the layer, the problem went away.

You can do 90% of what you need for most animations with the Throw, Grow Shrink and Ramp behaviors- IMHO.
