Most of my on-location shoots are 1920HD at 60fps. I am creating outputs for video and audio. They will be used commercially on DVDs, websites, computers, IPADS, smart phones, and any other device.

    My question is:
I do all my Premiere development work in 60fps/HD. What is the most effective output fps to use for all of these devices. Is there on;y one to use, or does each device require a different set up? Should I just stick to the 60fps/1920 for everything?

    Thank you for your help.

General rule: keep sequence settings the same as your source footage.

Thanks Ann. That is what I am doing. Just that many times I read a new article or on forums and “they” talk about “ideal” fps which seems to be different depending on who you talk to. After awhile it does get confusing. I will stick to what I am doing.

You can also choose the presets when encoding for the target intended.

    IOW

Export using the mpeg2 DVD preset for DVD,s

Export using the Vimeo preset for Online HD.

    1080i/60i is 60 interlaced fields, same as 30 (29.97) frames/second.
