  What Firewire card for MC 2.x?

  Does Avid work with any firewire card? Our facility just upgraded to Media Composer 2.7 from Xpress and we also upgraded computers to Dell Precision T3400. However we are having major issues with JVC decks and external hard drives for capturing media. We do not have Mojo. Also, do we need to have TWO cards in the computer–one for the deck, and one for the external hard drive?
