What effect was used creating this video?

This video was edited to make the people look like they jumped so high in the air and dunking it. They did not actually jump this high and dunk it like that. This is the product of fancy editing and I would like to know what they did and how they did it if you dont mind. I think its something to do with the “cookie cutter effect”?

Think they set up a small trampoline which the actors did there various jumps on. Without moving the camera they shot it again with the trampoline removed from the shot.
Then in editing they used the masking tool to cut out the trampoline and show in it’s place an empty floor. Part of the trick is cutting in after the actor has jumped from the trampoline. Also shooting from a low angle makes it look higher. If you want to go a bit further you can make the camera appear to pan with the action by adding a empty track above your your two clips (live action and clear floor clips) and making them chlid tracks of the empty track. Then use the parent tracks “track motion” to move both clips at the same time in sync with one another.
Another way of doing this effect is called rotoscoping and is very labor & Time Intensive. Basically it requires you to remove the trampoline frame by frame.Hope this helps you.

Notice that you never see the jumper leave the ground. He is already off the trampoline when the shot starts.
