I would NOT say that verbatim is the best quality disk out there by any means.

Taiyo Yuden are the best but Maxell are also vary good, they have a much less failure rate then other brands.

There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.
Don’t let technology get in the way of your creativity!

Thanks for the input – wasn’t expecting to increase the quaslity of the movie with a dvd, but i did burn the movie on a ‘pengo’ dvd and the quality was awful compared to verbatim. will check maxell though. thanks again.

i second Taiyo Yuden discs – (i believe they actually invented the technology as well)

The media brand will in no way affect the quality of video burned to it.

The DVD media has nothing to do with the quality of the image.

DVD-R is more universally accepted by DVD players though pretty much everything can play a DVD+R these days. When I purchase DVD media, I simply go with the cheapest option available.

I also purchase all my media from tapeonline.com. Great folks.

I get the huge tower of printable Verbatim at Sams Warehouse. If they or Costco are in your area, they are your friend! If they have it, it’s generally the best deal I find.
