Since I’ve upgraded to QT7 & 7.0.1 my viewer window in FCP HD has been worthless. It stops playing almost everytime I try to preview a clip. The audio will ocassionally keep running but that is rare. This problem is also happening to a friend of mine. If anyone out there can help it would be greatly appreciated. It is almost impossible to edit now.

Probably not what you want to hear, but there is a 6.5.2 reversioner posted on Apple’s website.

Before you do that, check you have all the codecs installed that you need for FCP.
A missing codec might be the troublemaker.

When you upgrade to QT 7 you lose your QT Pro registration. QT Pro is needed for FCP to work properly. You may need to upgrade back to QuickTime Pro. If you don’t have a QT Pro 7 license you can buy one from apple.

You do not need QT Pro to use FCP. The pro Key adds enhancements to the QT player.
