    Hi

Have a movie that is currently in the form of .mov with codec XDCAM HD422 1080i50. I need to put this to playable DVD.

DVD studio pro will accept this file but the quality comes out really bad. I pressume I need to convert the file before putting it into DVD studio pro. But what codec do I convert to? Also do I convert to 1024×576 as this is the size of an SD DVD and I have been told HD DVDs are a dead format.

    Thanks

    Ceri

    No it is not.

DVD is 720×480 for NTSC or 720×576 for PAL, that is true for 4:3 or 16:9

m2v is the only codec for DVD.

Just look through the manual would be time well spent.
