  • What battery do I need for my HPX170 Remote Control?

Posted by Christopher Targia on June 1, 2010 at 8:25 pm

I had battery for my HPX170 remote control, and after a year of use it died. So I just replaced it, used the same type of battery needed, CR2025, I bought two energizer CR2025 batteries, so I would have a backup. I put the first one in and nothing… I double checked the type of battery and everything and I couldn’t figure out why it didn’t work. So I tried the other battery. This one worked without a problem. I figured I had a defective battery. Only problem is, this battery only lasted for two days. Does anyone else with this camera know what kind of battery I should be using for this remote?
Before anyone makes a smart comment, I need the remote so I can run my teleprompter and the camera simultaneously without getting up.
    Thanks for any help.

The batteries you purchased could be bad. Have you tested them? What is their voltage?

If these batteries are good then maybe the remote is bad.
