  • What are the ideal settings for using my monitor with FCP?

I’m using FCP on my computer which is hooked up to a Samsung SyncMaster T220. I just bought this screen and am not sure exactly how best to calibrate and set it while using FCP. Any suggestions?

If this is just hooked up to the DVI of the graphics card it is not a monitor you can really calibrate for editing. You can go through the process in the Display setting (System Prefs) to get it as neutral as possible. Use need a video card or device to use it as a video monitor. Matrox MXO can use Computer monitors as more of a video monitor and gives you a way to calibrate it.
