First feature film with Resolve, with the help of you folks on this list I have sorted out most of my conform issues with the RED footage, but this my current issue. Graded many key shots and scenes. Then tried to complete the conform which required extensive PTRZ changes. Big issue was that resizing was different even in instances where the same clip was used. So the only way to adjust clips individually was to unlink them from the batch list. But when I do that I lose the colour correction. If I reconnect the clips i get my colour correction back but lose all my PTRZ changes. I believe this has something to do with master sessions etc but not sure. Again appreciate any help.

I usually create different version on right click and scale this clip independently. No batch unlink. Another way I use when I have long multicut clip with changing exposure along it – on every chunk of the clip I press F2 on the wave setting keyframe. After this I can scale or grade them independently.

Try batch copy instead of batch unlink. This should break the link but Also keep the grade.

If not just attach the grade to a keyboard memory. Unlink your clips and then use the memory to reapply the grade

Are you are using the same section of the Red clip? If so you have to use batch unlink. If you have loaded one long Red clip into the media pool and different sections of this clip are used for different scenes, it is best to split the clip in to several small clips using the EDL. Delete the long clip from the media pool. Then find the clip in the browser and right click to show a drop down menu. Select “Split and add into media pool using EDL”. Now you should see several clips in the media pool and not the one. Each clip can be graded and sized independently.
