What about a teacher/educator’s forum?
Both Avid and Adobe offer steep discounts to teachers, and also a place to pass around curriculum might be useful. Career and Technical Education (CTE), Information Technology and Media, and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) are the words being used to describe film and video, along with other concepts like “video literacy” and “film literacy.”
I hope there’s more than some interest and I’m not sure which vendor/manufacturers to contact.

Great idea Richard! After looking around it seems that Media Literacy Education is the commonly used phraseology for the subject? I’ve created the forum, feel free to contribute to get things going:
