Hello, I am currently working on making a dreadlock in cinema 4d but I would like to get the lock to appear greasy have a sheen to it, right now the lock looks very dry. When I try increasing the specularity the dreadlock only gets lighter and doesn’t really appear to have a sheen, but just looks more reflective everywhere. I think this is because in order to make this dreadlock I made the hair extremely tangled and kinked so rather than having a nice smooth surface almost all of the hair is infinitely knotted up in itself.

Does anybody have any specific tips as to how to make this lock look shinier/greasy without just lightening the entire lock? I am open to lighting changes, material changes or anything else you recommend.

    Thanks so much!
