    A lot of my edit projects include stills or motion graphics. So one of the first things I do when I create an event is make a smart collection which looks for media type = stills or layered PSD or title includes “GFX”. Then save motion videos with GFX in the title and off you go..

    Yeah, keyword collections in general are awesome, but smart collections are a huge timesaver.

    I have been adding an FCP Reel name to animations and have those come in a smart collection looking for a particular reel name.

    I am constantly amazed at how much I can get done in such a small little browser area and significantly less timelines than FCP7 and bins.
