Weird Wacom Issue and AFTER EFFECTS – help!
Hey…I was wondering if anyone has had this issue in AE – it seems to happen only when a Wacom Tablet is connected…
About 2 hours or so after working in AE (even after a restart) keyboard shortcuts (even ones mapped to the tablet) no longer work – holding shift to contrain proportions in AE, Illustrator, even Photoshop no longer work…caps lock to disable video preview on a rendr in AE – that sorta thing…its not a major deal, but quite frustrating – a restart, and its fine – I’ve experienced this on different computers, different tablets, and different verisons of AE, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Has anyone else experienced this and if so, has anyone been able to fix it?

Hi,
I’m using a wacom pzt-631w wide tablet. The only time I have experienced what you describe is when I tried to adjust some camera control points in top view mode. The screen update mode was at “adaptive resolution” The tablet would consistantly become unuseable until I restarted the computer. If I switched the update mode to wireframe before switching to top view, then I did not have the problem. After I finished adjusting points and switched back to camera view, then I could go back to adaptive resolution with no problems.
I have no idea what is happening and have no fix. Does the problem seem to occur when you do a specific function or does it tend to happen after a specific period of time? It seems like this is some sort of conflict between AE and the Wacom driver.

It doesnt seem to be a specific function more than a time thing – about every 2 hours or so functionality is gone – I believe it is a conflict with the Wacom driver – thanks for your help – has anyone else seen this problem?
