weird sound from Firewire out
Hello,
I’m working off a MacBook Pro with a Sony DSR-45 and FCP 6.0.2. I’ve got the firewire out to the DSR and a set of speakers coming of the deck with the video going out to a monitor.
Whenever I playback any audio, it sounds like what you get if you were actually listening to timecode. This is happening for all audio (…from video, from AIFFs, etc).
Any thoughts?

Interesting…
I went into the AUDIO/VIDEO SETTINGS>A/V DEVICES and reset all the settings and everything turned good again. For some reason, even though it was set to 2 channels, the deck was definitely getting four channels (…hence the timecode sound).
Bizarre.
