I have to confirm that the trick with the plug-in to force render is not working…for us.

we will let a project exporting to Uncompressed 8 bit HD..and check.

    Bummer, Jordi. I am sorry.

I’d export to 10bit though if you are working in ProRes.

Jeremy did you mean to say:

I’d export to 10bit though if you are working in ProRes HQ.

    ***
It’s my understanding (not by any means certain about this) that ProRes (non-HQ) is 8 bit.

Both flavors of ProRes are 10bit.

    Good to know!

    Thank you!!

One other update to the export workaround:

I encountered the “bad render” problem (again) (FCP ignores Basic Motion etc) when I tried using Export a QuickTime Movie — but then it worked when I used “Export Using QuickTime Conversion”….

This also happened to us.. when we was exporting to ProRes (current settings)
but if you force a completely new render in Uncompressed or DVCPROHD seems to work.

no worry Jeremy.. it’s a matter to try and error thing..

I also tougth I found the workaround just cleaning all the renders with the render manager,, but also was just one flower…sprinng was not yet comming.

I know that 10 bits is better but,, no space and raid bandwith to handle this… We’re doing simultaneously 3 1 hour programs with around 6 hours of footage each!

When I came to this project they was working on native HDV.. so capture and post in Prores and final master in 8 but uncompressed it’s still a leap in quality!

    thanks for the apreciaton, anyway!

and once again, sorry for my bad english!

[Jordi J Recort] “I know that 10 bits is better but,, no space and raid bandwith to handle this…”

I totally understand. 10bit HD is a monster resource hog.

Your English is just fine, no need to apologize at all. My Spanish and Catalan are horrendous!
