Hi… I think I might be having a problem, but i’m not sure..maybe I’m just going nuts…anyway I wanted to know if it’s possible to select a property from the effects control panel. I mean, highlight the name of the property (like it happens on the timeline), I dunno if im explaining myself right, for example say I apply a “gaussian blur” effect to a layer and I want to PASTE the value I used on another layer with the same effect, without going all the way down to the time line to do it… is it possible?…I think I was able to do it, but maybe I accidentally presed a shortcut to de activate this… and it is really annoying to copy-paste values in the timeline. thanks

hmmmm, not really sure what’s going on there. You should be able to select the Effect name, copy and paste it onto another layer from the Effects control pallette. You should also be able to click on any value in the effect parameters and copy and paste that as well.

I’m not sure about any setting that would disable that, so I can’t help you there, sorry.

Well actually, I can select the effect itself ..what I can’t select is the name of it’s properties…i.e. I can select “gaussian blur” but I cannot select it’s “blurishness” propety (or whatever it’s called) property…I also CAN select the values of “blurishness”…but not the name of the property itself which is useful
to me…but is this possible? I’ve been using AE for like 4 years haha and I know it sounds weird but I don’t remember if I actually did it this way…I’m pretty sure I DID :S

Ohhh, gotcha… no, I don’t guess the property names are selectable.
