I have mini-dv footage shot at 24p advanced. I am attempting to capture using FCP’s easy setup for the 2.3.3.2 pulldown. When I capture a minute test clip it comes in at the correct 23.98 frame rate. But when I attempt to capture the whole hour long tape it come in at 29.97. I’m not getting any errors and even tried starting an entire new project and starting over with the same results. I have taken four test clips from every fifteen minute of footage on the tape. They all come in correct.

I plan to run the hour long clip through Cinema tools but would rather dig it in direct.
Anyone have a similar problem and found a solution?
    Thanks. –MM

[Dave LaRonde] “If FCP encounters anything of an anomolous nature — the pulldown cadedce changes at the shot change, for example — it will not remove the pulldown, and the clip comes in at 29.97.”

    YES it is supposed to.
would you rather it took out the wrong frames??
and it does this will all reverse telecine function in all capture settings relating to 24p
