    Hi everybody!

I have a problem that i can’ figure out.
I made an animated menu for a DVD in AE (720×576, D1/DV PAL (1,07)) When i render this out it looks like it has bee squeesed out!
What did i do wrong? Has this something to do with ‘Pixel Aspect Ratio? What can I do? Please help!

    Thnx Frank

Mmh? Is it squeezed on the DVD or when watching the movie clip? If it’s just the movie clip, than this is perfectly normal. If it’s on the DVD, you may have to check your import option in the authoring program.

Once more: How are you checking your clip? Do you transfer it to DVD and watch it on a standalone player, do you preview it inside your DVD authoring program or do you simply play back the clip using Mediaplayer or similar tools? In the latter case it will look squeezed horizontally because MPlayer doesn ot compensate for pixel aspect. It will look okay, once you put it on DVD.

Mmh, that’s strange. I would assume that somehow the ratio info gets lost. It shouldn’t be a problem in Encore, ‘cos you could force it to interpret it as non-square. Still, very odd.
