I’m not sure whats causing it. But its really wacky. The only real application that is installed on our G5 computer is Final Cut Studio. But we have a file on our system drive called “-C” and its like 150gb’s big, and when you apple I it, it says its a “Plain Text” file… its really wacky, and its a massive file thats taking up a lot of room on our system drive.

Anyone know what it might be?

Where is the file located on the system?

in the root of the system drive. So you open up the system drive and its right there, its not in any folders or anything

Sounds like a bloated corupt file. You should be fine to delete it. I saw the same thing happen once with a photo file.

I know this post is kinda old, but I’ve been getting this “-C” file too, and I keep deleting it, but with me it keeps coming back, like herpes.
I noticed that it’s Color that’s generating it, and that it does so whenever I press “Save”. Auto-Save works fine, but I haven’t found where Color keeps the Auto-Save files, or is it simply the project file itself that it saves? If so, I guess a workaround would be to just never, ever save…
But anyway, the bigger the project I’m trying to save, the bigger -C gets, and it’s basically the size of the whole timeline, rendered out! So maybe there is a setting in Color that is doing this? Does anyone else have this problem? I like saving…
