Weird event library actions
Hi all
HAd a few weird things happen recently… From time to time I will work with a project and then all of a sudden it will not allow me to add anything extra to the project timeline. You can grab a clip from the library and drag it but it won’t perform the actions… The same goes for FX’s or transitions. Then you have to either switch off, close the software restart.. U can work for a few min and then it does the same.. Pretty annoying
Any Ideas ? Ive tried trashing the prefs, no go… I reinstalled…. no go… Running iMac 2,8 i% Lion with 16GB ram

Sounds a bit like what can happen when you run out of available RAM for operations.
Check how many programs you’re running concurrently. I’ve seen lots of circumstances where users didn’t know they have a dozen apps running before they launch an editing app and there’s little headroom for something like X that LOVES lots of RAM.
16 gigs is certainly enough IF most of it is not already being sequestered by other applications.
