  Weird disapperance of text

  I’m using one of the “Master Templates>3D Text Projects” for a lower third in a 59.94 project in FCP 7. The particular template is “Text Line Reveal HD.” The problem that I can’t figure out is this: When I add the lower third to the timeline, it shows a length of 9:48. But when I add a drop shadow in Motion to it, the text disappears halfway through its duration; at 4:53.

  I’ve tried going into Motion and creating new, longer copies of the template but I still get the premature disappearance of the lower third text. The clip length stays the same but the length of time the text shows on screen in reduced simply by adding that drop shadow.

  Makes no sense to me. Anyone have any ideas about this?
