Weird colors in Sony Vegas.
Hello.
I am recording my videos in Virtual Dub with FFDshow and DivX 3. Now everything is fine when I play the video back in any program it’s all fine but when I put the video into Sony Vegas all these weirds show up for the first few seconds. What’s even worse is that they also show up when I render the video.

I know it’s not the exact frame but it’s the closest I could get. If it helps I use the DiV3 fourCC.

If you still get the same results with your preview window set to best full, Then try a different format to capture too. DVIX and XVID codecs have been know to have problems working in Vegas. Can you capture to avi or mpeg?

I almost always use the Best (Full) preview window and nothing changes. I always record to AVI but i’ll try MPEG. Thanks.

It’s not AVI or MPEG that’s the problem. It’s that Vegas doesn’t support the DivX or Xvid codec. You can use almost any AVI codec you’d like except DivX or Xvid. Try M-JPEG in an AVI container instead.
