  • Weird color correction problem in the preview window and when rendering

    Hi all,

Ever since I added a color correction fx for a clip in my video, sony vegas has been ruined with a weird color filter. I already reinstalled vegas, but the problem still persists.

The photos I added show the weirdness of the problem, one screenshot has the normal colors in the preview, but as soon as I move the preview window the slightest bit, the color goes to the other screenshot. Also when rendering the color reverts to the blueish tint.

I have already looked through a lot of forums, and none were able to assist with this problem. It doesn’t have to do with project video properties being wrong or any video output fx that are enabled throughout the project… The problem seems to be pointing in the direction of some kind of bug within sony vegas.

Any help with this problem is much appreciated!

Where did you add the FX? I don’t see anything being added at Event or Track Level. Did you add it at Media Level?

Thanks for replying, to be clear, I -think- the effect I mention is where the problem started, so I could be wrong. I’ve posted two pictures of the supposed source of the problem. As you can see, when I’m in the custom tab the color seems normal, but in the parameters tab the color is off.

Well, to assist us, I reinstall Sony Vegas Pro 13 Build 545. I can not repro your issue. Color Corrector both tabs are working as expected. I can not repro your issue. Color Corrector, both tabs are working as expected. What Build are you on?

So, I’m concluding you have a Local Issue. Maybe you should check on your Account for the last Build? Maybe do a Factory Reset. Also, do check you’re up to date with your .Net Framework.

OK, to reassure you, I can’t see a way to remove this error through a VP setting.

    Cheers – G
