weird color balance
when i am indoors, my camera will display a normal plain color at 0, a yellow orange tint at -7 setting, and a bluish color at +7 setting, however when i have been outside shooting i have noticed that at 0 setting, my camera already has a bluish tint, and i have to go to -7 setting just to get a plain image. There is no longer a yellow orange tint option, because -7 will finally offset the blue color which dominates at color bal setting 0 when i am outside. does anyone know why this is?…. also, when i am outside in the sun and it is bright outside during the middle of the day, i cannot figure out how to darken my picture, which always seems to be blown out with brightness – does this have something to do with my white balancing? or does the camera just have a really hard time shooting at bright peak sun hours of the day?
any info/suggestions would be much appreciated

Umm- you have to actually white balance. All that control in the Scene file does is tint the white balance you are setting. It must be calibrated every time you change lighting. Check the manual for the procedure- but it’s pretty simple:
