  Weird CMError any ideas?

  When I’m digitizing, everything goes fine until maybe 30 minutes in maybe 2hrs in, it’s never the same. I come in the edit bay and the capture screen is frozen, but the record light is still blinking in the capture window. If I stop capture then go back and look at the clip, there are chunks of video missing throughout the clip. The video is black and displays “GetFinishedFrame Decompression Error in clip Capture Bin.01 error code CMError_Codec” Now I’ve reinstalled Avid, I’ve used Defraggler and Windows defragment and it still keeps randomly doing this.

  I’ve even reformatted my system drive, reinstalled Windows and Avid.

  Any ideas? I’m really tapped out on what could be causing this.

  ADS Pyro A/D Firewire converter (Capturing VHS)
  3Ghz Pentium IV
  1.5GHz RAM
  Media Composer 4.03
