I’m experiencing some weird behavior with c4d. It started happening in C4D R10.5, just randomly after I hadn’t used it for about a week. So I just got R11 mainly for the collada support, but hoping this would go away, but it hasn’t.

It’s hard to explain, but the mouse clicks don’t work like they used to. When adding lights, nurbs or anything from the top menu, I’ll click and hold to get the submenu, but nothing will happen on mouseup; so i’m not able to select anything besides the default things that are there.

It’s not just that, it affects everything, for instance, if I add a material to an object while modeling, it won’t show until i click somewhere in the viewer/modeling window. This pretty much happens anytime I move something, or do anything; I’ll have to click to see what i just did. It’s so annoying.

I can’t imagine that it’s something in C4d causing it, since it started in 10.5 randomly, and is still happening now in R11, I just can’t imagine what it could be? I’m using a Wacom, with updated drivers and running 10.5. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there some way to reset everything? Thanks for the help!

i have a genius tablet an experience similar problems. there is a delay on menus and when changing parameters. it is very annoying and double annoying that it only happens in c4d.

i was thinking in getting a wacom but if you have the same problems i dont know now.

Does it go away if you switch from OGL to software shading in Preferences>Viewport?

i thought i subscribed to this post, but never got an email…
Anyways, problem solved, i guess it was my driver. Got the newest one from wacom and restarted my system. i’ll post after the restart from now on 😉

    Hey,
I have the same problems too. The thing is that I don’t have a tablet. Just a Cordless mouse. Did anyone else have these problems and weren’t using a tablet. If so how did they get corrected?
    Thanks
