July 2, 2017 at 5:55 pmLooks like “track motion” on your video tracks 2 & 3 .. Check Vegas help under Track Motion.

July 2, 2017 at 6:32 pmIs it the entire timeline that renders this way?
Can you reproduce the problem by creating a new project using some of the same media, the same project properties and the same render template?
In other words, try to narrow down the problem. Is it the render template? Or some cropping of the media?

July 2, 2017 at 7:38 pmI noticed it was only on track 3 where it was happening, I copied all of the media and pasted it onto a new track but it still happens, I’m pretty sure it is a video fx thats causing this issue

July 3, 2017 at 8:40 amFound the Issue! It was a displacement map thats on the 2nd track and when I muted it, and tried to render it, there were no black bars.

July 3, 2017 at 4:29 pmGreat. Thanks for following up and letting the forum know what happened.
I’ve never used the Displacement Map myself, but, I see, it can do some nice effects if you understand it. Compositing is one of the most powerful parts of Vegas.

It looks perfectly normal when it isn’t rendering
