Website size consitancy please!?
I have a question about a website I’ve been building this summer, would someone take a look at the site / issue?
The site here https://www.jabsgallery.info and Ive attached a zip with the index and external style sheet inside.The issue im having is a size or resolution problem. When the site is viewed in firefox it look good fits nicely,
and when viewed in safari or IE it’s too large. I’ve validated the css and html at w3 and still nothing.here is the file 2883_bassettswebsite.zip

IE 8 may be setting a higher default zoom level than 100. You can check in your settings / zoom dialogue.

OK even after allowing for IE8 resizing it looks like there is an issue on IE.
To debug, two strands might be worthwhile :
make a very simple page with just some text and a simple image, and see if you get the same issue
you have a lot of javascript in your troublesome page – including functions called something like startIeFix()and endIeFix() ; would it be an idea to comment out all the script elements – or disable javascript in your IE – and retest the page, to see if the problem is originating with the javascript ? If it is, you could try putting th escript elements back one at a time, to see which is causing the issue …
