    Hi,

    I hope I’m not too off-topic with my question. I’m looking for a tool or a script that can take screenshots of any given URL.

    I would like to implement a tool like that into my website. Like a form field in which I can enter a URL and get a screenshot of that URL in return.

    Are there tools like that available? If no, which technology will I have to use for this. Can it be done as a server side task?

    Websnapr is a nice tool to use to do this with – there is also Artviper which does something a little different but along the same lines. Google either one of those and I’m sure that will head you in the right direction.
