    Hello again,
I can’t seem to locate any information on rendering videos for the web. The 6.0 program I’m using has Cleaner EZ and it works well for CD’s. But compressing a 5 minute, 1.5gb video down to a viewable size without being too grainy is a process I’ve been looking to resolve. I am probably going about this the wrong way and would really like to be able to put some video on our site for clients and critique by this cow-munity.

    All advice greatly appreciated.

That is a pretty old program, and there are better Microsoft WMV encoders in the newer Adobe apps. However, you can export the AVI and use the free Microsoft Media Encoder to output WM9 files. Cut the frame size down to 320X240, and if necessary to reduce the file size, cut the frame rate to 15fps. A data rate of no more than 512K should do the trick for most video.

Thanks Steven. I’ll look into getting that program. Using the Cleaner defaults for CD’s drops the size down to 320×240 but keeps the 30fps. I’ll play around with it and report back.

    Thanks again,
    John
