I’ve never had a problem whatsoever with a FCP edit suite and simultaneous internet connection – and that is on my own suite at home, and also the 10 or so other suites I have worked free-lance on.

Never had a problem with any slowdowns or anything like that. I guess there used to be a protocol that said it was best to have your ethernet or appletalk turned off; i can’t remember.

Anyway, I do a lot of graphics and often I have to go to the client’s website for something or search out a problem or whatever. I’d waste too much time going to another workstation and transferring.
