With the recent addition of the 5D Mark II to my set-up, comes the need for more drive space. I currently have 3 500gb drives in RAID 0 and am looking to swap those for 1tb drives.

I have read a few reviews on New Egg that the WD Caviar Black 1TB drives are not meant to be in a RAID set-up, that the drives can randomly fall out of the RAID. Has anyone had any experience with these drives in an internal RAID on a Mac Pro?

Any suggestions on higher performance 1TB drives that work well?

Caviar blacks are great for RAID. I have 8 humming along right now. it’s the Enterprise and Green Power drives you want to avoid.
