Well i really was taken to task for some recent questions on importing tga fileas

This should be the last one for this project I had an animator make an animation for me in 3dmax as tga files I have unzipped them and brouight them into my project but I realize the 14 zipped files now unzipped and numbered sequentially in my project window would be better as one large file (1445 tga frames)

My problem as I see it is under the current setup trying to place the 14 files on a composition timeline all prperly positioned to play out before rendering this comp intoan avi

the next comp withthis completed avi I will be putting some text and titles into along with the soundtrack so any advice ??

How to combine the 14 seperate tga files for ease of putting on to comp timeline many thanks

when you import the targa sequence … go File->Import, then select the first one, and then select the check box there labelled “auto detect sequence” or something like that. Then AE should import them all as one clip.

    is this what you mean?

in the project window select the 14 targa sequences, drag them to the new comp button.
select single com, check sequence layers, make sure overlap is unchecked.

then use this comp as your master footage layer in whatever else you are doing

    who is that masked man…
