There is no way to just view all expressions in a project.
Well, there is one hack:
Paul Tuersley has recently released a script ( https://aescripts.com/pt_opensesame/ ) that is intended for saving After Effects projects in a form that can be opened by previous versions. This is achieved by saving all project information in a text-based format. You can go through the project file that Paul’s script creates and find just the expressions. They’re easy to find; just search for the word ‘Expression’ in the text file. You can also tell whether the expression is enabled, so that will give you a good idea of which ones have errors (since ones with errors are disabled).
I just tried this, and it worked.
There’s a free trial version of the script, so you can try.
No, I’m pretty sure that this is not the use case that Paul had in mind—but it is just one of many things that you can do when the project is open to you as a text file in this way.
(Thanks, Paul.)
