I just upgraded to an Intel-based Mac and loaded the FCP Crossgrade onto it.

Audio clips appear quite strange in the Viewer. The Waveforms don’t draw properly. (I also can’t get the Waveforms to draw in the Timeline.)

Anyone else have this bug (or what appears to be a bug.) I installed all the latest software updates today (2.8.07)

    Thanks,
    Pete

Try trashing the prefs. Believe it or not, sometimes those silly prefs come all screwed up right out of the box.

Nope, works fine here. As David suggests, trash the prefs and try again. Also ensure the Waveforms are activated in your timeline.

    before you trash the prefs,
    trash the waveform cache.

    they may re-draw correctly,
and you’ve saved losing your settings.

    Pete

Did you find a solution for this problem, we’re seeing a similar solution on one of our Intel Macs running FCP 5.1.2 and 10.4.8

    Cheers
