Have a question on .wav files that I generate with a mic using a voice timeline.

If I delete the file, say I want to redo, the thing seems to hang around somewhere. When I try to re open the project I have to choose “leave missing files offline” in order to open the project.

Any way to remove unwanted .wav files so they will not cause this to happen?

    thanks

#1. Make sure the file is deleted from the hard drive and not just the project.

#2. Click the Lightning bolt icon (Remove All Unused Media From Project) and re-save it.
Note that this will remove ALL unused media so if you have files are going to be used bet haven’t been used yet, you’ll need to add them after you open it again.

You can also go to the project media tab, right click on the footage you would like to delete and choose the options that deletes the footage from the project AND the disk. That also allows removal without getting the message og missing files.
