Wav file is sounding really odd after being recovered from a corrupted SD card
Hey,
I stupidly pulled out an SD card from my mac as it was in the middle of uploading to WeTransfer. I inserted the card to try and upload the files again at a later date, however the car was not able to be read by the mac anymore.
I used a data recovery programme to copy the corrupted data off the card and managed to open the file in Audacity by using the FILE>IMPORT RAW DATA option. The audio played back… YAY! However, it sounded sped up and distorted… BOOOO!
I tried many different settings when importing into Audacity, however it either played back the same quality or just static.
I know the file was recorded at 44.1 16bits using a Zoom H4n recorder. I’ve attached a clip of the recovered audio to this post. If anyone is able to have an idea of how to restore this type of corruption I’d really appreciate the suggestions!
Thanks,
Marc
